About Me

Choosing To Live A Healthier Life

I have always been someone who really loves to get out there and enjoy time with other people, which is why I started becoming more and more involved in outdoor activities. Unfortunately, a few months ago I was left with a debilitating injury that I knew I had to resolve, and so I met with my medical care provider. He told me that I had been living with a stress fracture, and I knew that I had to have surgery to get it fixed. During my recovery, I decided to create a blog all about health and medical topics to help other people just like me. Check it out.

Putting On A Chair Massage Workshop? Take This Approach

It's common for massage therapists who offer chair massage treatments to target this form of healthcare to working professionals. The portability of a massage chair means that you can offer chair massages in clients' places of work, which can be relaxing for them and lucrative for you. In order to set up relationships with local businesses, you may wish to schedule visits. You'll need to sell management on this idea, so that they can sign off on it, so here are some useful steps to take.

Highlight The Benefits To Employers

While you can quickly summarize the benefits of chair massages for the clients, remember that you're making your pitch to the management team. Structure your remarks so that the managers will see the many benefits for them. For example, talk about how employees who sit all day may be more at risk of back injuries and that back injuries can cause people to take sick leave from work. This, in turn, affects productivity, can be costly for the company, and can waste time as managers look for replacement workers to fill in on contract. Then, paint a picture of how regular chair massages in the convenient location of their office can help employees to stay healthier.

Explain The Minimal Interruption

Some managers may be wary about introducing chair massages to their workplace for fear that these events will disrupt productivity. You can calm these fears by explaining how quickly you can get set up, how you can ideally work in an empty room so as to avoid distracting those around you, and how your treatments are quiet and calm. If you've done corporate chair massages in the past, highlight some examples of how you were able to easily fit into the daily routine without interrupting staff.

Demonstrate What You Can Offer

For as much as discussing the matter can be beneficial, no pitch about the benefits of offering chair massages in the workplace is complete without a demonstration. Recruit a few volunteers from the management team and give them each a short massage — it shouldn't take very long for you to highlight what you can do and for them to clearly see just how skilled you are at your job. The managers will likely feel considerably more relaxed, even after just a few minutes of you massaging them, which can help them to sign off on this partnership.

For more information and tips, consider contacting other local office chair massage companies, like Body Well Mobile Massage, for ideas.
