Choosing To Live A Healthier Life

I have always been someone who really loves to get out there and enjoy time with other people, which is why I started becoming more and more involved in outdoor activities. Unfortunately, a few months ago I was left with a debilitating injury that I knew I had to resolve, and so I met with my medical care provider. He told me that I had been living with a stress fracture, and I knew that I had to have surgery to get it fixed. During my recovery, I decided to create a blog all about health and medical topics to help other people just like me. Check it out.

Popular Natural Anti-Aging Ingredients

The aging process will reach every person at one point or another if we are lucky enough. That doesn't mean that we can't fight the process to the best of our ability! The right organic anti-aging serum can help make you look and feel young for as long as possible.

Why does skin wrinkle?

Your skin is quite complex, and there's more to it than what you see. Under your skin, the proteins collagen and elastin allow your skin to return to its original firm state after being stretched. As we get older, these proteins won't be able to do their job as they once did. Things that contribute to this process include:

  • age
  • sun damage
  • smoking
  • harsh cleansers
  • excessive drinking
  • dry skin

It's important to keep your skin moisturized and always wear sunscreen. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about the aging process. Luckily, there are creams that can at least slow down or hinder wrinkles and other signs of aging.

What are the best ingredients in anti-aging creams?

There are a variety of creams on the market that claim to reduce wrinkles and aging. So what ingredients should you look for in your anti-aging serum? Here are some of the most popular ingredients and what makes them so effective.

  • Green tea

It's not only there to drink. Green tea can be put into your anti-aging serum with wonderful results! Green tea is full  of antioxidants and chemicals known as polyphenols. Antioxidants prevent cell degeneration, and the polyphenols have a stimulating effect. This can be utilized in creams to help reduce dark circles around your eyes. It's especially effective when combined with caffeine.

  • Retinol

Retinol is quickly becoming one of the most popular ingredients used in ant-aging creams today. It derives from vitamin A, and it's effective because it increases your body's collagen generation. Collagen helps fill out your skin, preventing wrinkles. It also helps correct skin imperfections and give you a healthy color to your skin. The product can cause dry skin, though, so be prepared with an effective moisturizer.

  • Aloe Vera

Aloe vera comes from a plant by the same name that grows in tropical areas. The gel that comes from this plant helps hydrate the skin, and it also helps the skin retain its elasticity. The malic acid in particular is what helps to eliminate the wrinkles.

  • Vitamin C

Vitamin C can help protect your skin from sun rays and other things that can cause aging. It also increases collagen. Contact a company, like DermaChic , for more help.
